In retrospect, perhaps it was more than just fate that found Kristine in Paris this rainy summer morning. Lying across her bed Kristine read the local newspaper. A successful freelance reporter, Kristine made her living writing articles about the social happenings of Europe for the suburban Chicago readers back home. She was just about to give up and go to bed when she noticed something interesting.

It seems that the only living descendant of a once notorious French aristocrat announced that he intended to host a party at his family estates at Lacoste. Having spent a considerable fortune restoring his ancestral estates it seems that Donatien Alphonse Francois planned to make his grand entrance into French society by hosting what promised to be the year's most talked about social event.

Tonight the last living descendant of the infamous Marquis de Sade was hosting a party at his newly restored family estates. And Kristine had the perfect dress to attract the amorous interests of one Donatien Alphonse Francois, the new Marquis de Sade.
